SystemsPlus is hiring for Senior IT Technical Analyst – Research & Development (R&D)

Exp : 5yr+

Location : Remote.

Work timing : 5 pm to 1 am IST.

Position Summary

The Senior IT Technical Analyst, R&D serves as a business partner to Research & Development functions, supporting scientific, preclinical, clinical, regulatory, and quality processes through the delivery, optimization, and support of business applications and digital solutions. This role bridges scientific business needs and technology capabilities, driving innovation, operational excellence, data integrity, compliance, and process automation across the R&D landscape.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business analysis skills and a deep understanding of life sciences R&D processes and regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Solution Delivery

• Partner with R&D stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements.
• Translate scientific and operational needs into system requirements, solution designs, and implementation plans.
• Lead requirements gathering workshops, process mapping, solution evaluations, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Provide recommendations for improving research and development processes through technology solutions.

Application Ownership & Support

• Serve as the business lead and SME for R&D applications, including:
• Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN)
• Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Scientific Data Management Platforms
• Clinical and Regulatory Systems
• Research Collaboration Tools
• Ensure systems meet business, performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Manage incident, problem, and change management activities

Technical Analysis & Integration

• Analyze complex business and technical requirements and develop scalable solutions.
• Support data management, reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives by collaborating with developers.

Project Management & Execution

• Lead small sized projects and participate in larger cross-functional initiatives.
• Coordinate vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage system implementations from planning through post-production support.

Compliance, Validation & Governance

• Support computer system validation (CSV) and change management processes.
• Participate in audits and inspections and provide required documentation.

Maintain system documentation, SOPs, configuration records, and training materials.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting business applications in a life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment.
• Experience with R&D platforms such as:
• LIMS/ELN platforms
• Scientific data management systems
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Business process Analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting biotech or pharmaceutical R&D organizations.
• Knowledge of laboratory workflows, preclinical research, clinical development, and regulatory submissions.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and SaaS platforms.
