Job summary

Sandeep Metalcraft (SMPL) in Nagpur is seeking a skilled electronics assembler to perform precision hand soldering, component rework, and touch-ups on microscopic SMD and through-hole assemblies.

You will use test jigs, a digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and data loggers to conduct functional and environmental tests, and you will inspect PCBA quality under microscopes, maintaining strict ESD discipline and cleanroom SOPs.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, BOM.
• Excellent manual dexterity for microscopic components.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 Class 3 inspection criteria.
• 2–5 years of hands-on electronics assembly in high-reliability facility.
• Experience with ESD-safe hand tools and automated inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision hand soldering and component rework on PCB assemblies.
• Operate test jigs, DMM, oscilloscope, and data loggers for functional/environmental tests.
• Inspect incoming materials and completed PCBAs for defects under microscopes.

Role & responsibilities

• Precision Hand Assembly: Perform fine hand soldering, component rework, and touch- up on microscopic SMD and through-hole assemblies.
• Functional & Environmental Testing: Operate custom test jigs, digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and data loggers to execute functional and environmental tests (thermal/vibration).
• Visual Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming materials and completed PCBAS under microscopes to spot anomalies like solder bridging, tombstoning, or component cracking.
• ESD Discipline: Maintain 100% compliance with ESD protective protocols, static-safe attire requirements, and cleanroom standard operating procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

• Technical Background: ITI, Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical trade certification.
• Blueprints & Schematics: Exceptional ability to read and interpret basic wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOM).
• Hand-Eye Coordination: Excellent manual dexterity for working with microscopic components under magnification lenses.
• IPC Awareness: Familiarity with IPC-A-610 Class 3 inspection criteria (certification is a major plus).
• Experience : 2 to 5 years of hands-on electronics assembly experience in a high-reliability or professional electronics manufacturing facility.
• Proven track record using ESD-safe hand tools, thermal chambers, and automated inspection equipment.
