The ideal candidate holds an ITI in Electrician and 3–5 years of experience, with knowledge of HVAC systems and testing tools. Applicants should be prepared for after-hours breakdown support and onsite work.

Qualifications

• ITI certificate in Electrician trade required.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, basic circuits, and safe maintenance.
• Familiarity with electrical tools and testing equipment; AC/HVAC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, switches, sockets, and circuit breakers.
• Troubleshoot faults with testing equipment and diagnose issues.
• Maintain lighting systems, indoors and outdoors, and emergency lighting.
• Service air conditioners, refrigerators, water coolers, and related equipment.
• Assist HVAC maintenance, including checks of motors, fans, and controls.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out timely repairs.
• Identify unsafe wiring; report hazards and prevent accidents.
• Replace faulty components and support equipment installation when needed.
• Keep tools and areas clean and organized; document work and materials used.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; coordinate with maintenance team.

Job summary

The Electrician / Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, lighting, appliances, and facility equipment. The role includes troubleshooting and servicing air conditioners, refrigerators, coolers, HVAC systems, and other electrical equipment to help ensure safe, reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, distribution boards, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
• Maintain and repair lighting systems, including indoor and outdoor lights, fixtures, and emergency lighting.
• Inspect, service, and troubleshoot air conditioners, refrigerators, water coolers, and related equipment.
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, including basic checks of electrical controls, motors, fans, and connections.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
• Identify unsafe or damaged wiring and equipment, report hazards, and take appropriate steps to prevent accidents.
• Replace faulty components and support equipment installation or relocation when required.
• Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition.

• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Education and qualifications

• ITI certificate in Electrician trade qualification.

• Familiarity with electrical tools and testing equipment, such as multimeters and voltage testers.
• Basic knowledge of AC, refrigerator, cooler, and HVAC maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams is an advantage.

Work conditions
