Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Utility Electrician responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical utility systems and equipment. The role will ensure minimum equipment downtime and uninterrupted electrical supply to plant and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of electrical utility equipment.
- Operate, inspect and maintain HT/LT panels, MCC, PCC, DBs, transformers and electrical distribution systems.
- Carry out maintenance of DG sets, UPS, battery banks, APFC panels and changeover systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, contactors, relays, starters, VFDs, control panels, sensors and electrical circuits.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment within minimum response time.
- Perform inspection and maintenance of cables, cable trays, terminations, earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Maintain lighting systems, power sockets, switches, MCBs, MCCBs and other electrical installations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), control wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Carry out electrical testing using multimeter, clamp meter, megger and other testing instruments.
- Support shutdown, isolation and restoration activities as per approved procedures.
- Maintain equipment logbooks, checklists, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance records.
- Identify abnormal conditions such as overheating, loose connections, unusual noise, voltage/current fluctuations and report them immediately.
- Coordinate with Utility Engineers/Supervisors during major breakdowns and maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of electrical rooms, panels and utility areas.
- Follow LOTO, electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable electrical safety standards and site procedures.
- Support emergency response activities and ensure uninterrupted utility operations.

Qualification
- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid electrical/electrician license as applicable to the site and statutory requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
Min. 5-7 years experience in Electronics equipment(SCADA,PLC, MCC,BMS,sensor,instrument etc.) O&M in Semiconductor manufacturing/ pharmaceutical / related industry
