Job summary

Knorr-Bremse India Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Electrical System Engineer (ESE) to support Mainline Train Set projects with electrical system design, project engineering, and customer interaction throughout the lifecycle.

The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, preparing technical documents, and assisting with commissioning and field support. Strong knowledge of TCMS and rolling stock integration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
• 4-10 years of relevant experience in system engineering or electrical integration projects.
• Experience in railway rolling stock or rail transportation projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute system engineering activities for Mainline Train Set projects.
• Review customer specifications and prepare technical compliance/comments.
• Prepare technical documentation and bid proposals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for concept development and electrical schematics.
• Develop and manage project plans, deliverables, and engineering documentation.
• Prepare CDR, SDR, and other project-related technical documents.
• Design and review electrical wiring diagrams, vehicle schemes, and interface documents with TCMS.
• Support field installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Deliver technical presentations and discussions with customers.
• Provide troubleshooting support and product training when required.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Electrical/Electronic Engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of TCMS (Train Control & Monitoring System).
• Experience with rolling stock projects and train system integration.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as MVB, Ethernet, and RS-485.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Exposure to SAP, CAD/PLM, Windchill, or similar engineering tools is an advantage.
