Job summary

Evio Private Limited in Mumbai is seeking an Estimation/Tendering Manager for electrical contracting projects. You will lead pre-contract activities, prepare BOQs, and drive cost estimates for commercial and industrial data centre projects.

You will supervise a small team of 3–4 estimators, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and ensure timely, competitive tender submissions with strong techno-commercial rigor.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical engineering.
• Experience in estimation and tendering for electrical projects.
• Ability to lead a team of estimators and coordinate with internal teams.
• Strong Excel skills for BOQ preparation and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Study tender documents and prepare accurate BOQs.
• Perform quantity take-off for Electrical systems (LT/HT, panels, cabling, lighting, ELV).
• Prepare cost estimates including materials, labour, subcontracting, overheads and margins.
• Conduct rate analysis and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals with supporting docs.
• Draft compliance statements and vendor sheets; participate in pre-bid meetings.
• Coordinate with internal teams for bid inputs and tender submission.
• Float enquiries, evaluate offers and negotiate techno-commercial rates.
• Maintain vendor databases and rate sheets.

Location: Andheri, Mumbai – Head Office (Local Candidates only)

Salary: Up to ₹35,000 - ₹40,000 Gross per month (based on experience & capability)

1. Position Overview

The Estimation/Tendering Manager will lead the complete pre-contract function, including cost estimation, tender submissions, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, vendor coordination and techno-commercial review.

He/She must have strong leadership capability and will be responsible for managing a team of 3–4 Estimators, ensuring quality output and timely tender submission.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings, specifications and prepare accurate BOQs.
• Perform detailed quantity take-off for Electrical systems (LT/HT, Panels, DBs, Cabling, Conduits, Lighting, Earthing, ELV systems, etc.).
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including material, labour, subcontracting, overhead & margins.
• Conduct rate analysis and identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare technical & commercial proposals with supporting documents.
• Draft compliance statements, deviation sheets, vendor lists and pricing formats.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Coordinate with internal teams for inputs required for bid submission.
• Float enquiries, evaluate offers and negotiate best techno-commercial rates.
• Maintain updated vendor database and rate sheet.

E. Reporting & Management Coordination

• Prepare costing summaries, risk assessment notes and approval sheets for management.
• Maintain tender tracking registers and bid status reports.
• Support management during bid finalization and client presentations.
• Strong technical knowledge of Electrical HT/LT distribution, panels, cables, earthing, lighting, and ELV systems.
• Excellent command over Excel-based BOQ preparation and quantity extraction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings (AutoCAD knowledge preferred).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good negotiation and vendor comparison capability.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tenders with strict timelines.
