Seeking Project Engineer to support Power Transmission and Renewable Energy Development Projects throughout the US. The candidate will be responsible for the detailed Substation Physical design for high voltage substationprojects.
The Project Engineer shall perform complete physical electrical design including electrical schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, grounding calculations, grounding details, conduit and wire schedules, bill of materials, AC Station Service sizing, battery sizing, major equipment specifications, and client’s required project documentation.
In addition, the Engineer shall perform other project tasks such as coordinating with CAD designers to develop organized, quality CAD drawings preparation and maintenance of project status reports; attend project meetings, coordinate tasks with other disciplines, clients and vendors. Candidate will also be interacting with clients and building officials during the course of design.Prepare calculations packages for grounding, lightning protection and lighting.
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from US University or equivalent. Experience: 5-10 yrs. exp. Previous experience in high-voltage substation work is required.
Codes & Standards: NEC, NESC, IEEE
Software Skills: ETAP, CYME, WinIGS, Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Personal Skills: Good written and oral communications skills, presentation skills, business development skills, organized, and self-starter.
