Job summary

Jobitus is seeking a General Manager - Electrical / Electrical Head to lead the Electrical Maintenance and Power Plant operations for Sponge Iron/DRI facilities and captive power generation. You will oversee HT/LT systems, transformers, motors, MCC/PCC, VFDs, switchgear and substations to ensure reliable power and maximum equipment availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Electrical Department for Sponge Iron/DRI and Power Plant operations.
• Manage electrical maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, motors, MCC, PCC, VFD, switchgear and substations.
• Ensure reliable power supply and maximize equipment availability.
• Handle electrical systems of WHRB/AFBC/CFBC power plants and captive generation.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures.
• Troubleshoot major electrical faults and conduct RCA.
• Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Projects departments.
• Manage electrical shutdowns, maintenance planning and critical spares.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, LOTO and statutory requirements.
• Lead electrical projects, capacity expansion and system improvements.
• Manage electrical manpower, contractors and departmental budgets.
• Prepare MIS, maintenance reports, energy reports and KPI reports for management.
