Job summary

Solarverse Solutions seeks a skilled rooftop solar site supervisor to oversee installation teams, perform testing and commissioning, and manage net-metering paperwork for rooftops in North Bengal. You will ensure safety, conduct site surveys, and assist in system design while coordinating with warehouse and sales for timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of hands-on experience, knowledge of inverters, earthing, and net metering, and a WB Supervisor Licence; Hindi/Bengali fluency and

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• 2-5 years hands-on rooftop solar PV installation and commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of on-grid inverters, protection devices, earthing and net metering.
• Ability to read SLDs and manage site labour; AutoCAD / PVsyst knowledge is a plus.
• West Bengal Electrical Supervisor Certificate of Competency (Supervisor Licence) covering Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 9 & 11 preferred.
• Suryamitra (NISE/MNRE) or other solar installation certification is an added advantage.
• Hindi and Bengali; based in Siliguri preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation by the site crew: module mounting structures, DC/AC cabling, ACDB/DCDB, earthing and lightning arrestors.
• Carry out testing and commissioning: IR test, Voc/Isc checks, earth resistance and generation verification.
• Handle WBSEDCL net-metering documentation, inspections and PM Surya Ghar paperwork.
• Ensure quality and safety standards on every site; maintain site progress reports and handover documents.
• Coordinate material planning with the warehouse and provide technical support to the sales team.
• Conduct site surveys for rooftop solar projects: shadow analysis, roof/structure check and sanctioned load assessment.
• Assist in system design: string sizing, SLD, inverter and cable selection, BOQ preparation.

• HIGHLY PREFERRED: Valid West Bengal Electrical Supervisor Certificate of Competency (Supervisor Licence) covering Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 9 & 11, issued by the Electrical Licensing Board, Govt. of West Bengal
• Suryamitra (NISE/MNRE) or other solar installation certification is an added advantage
• Hindi and Bengali; candidates based in Siliguri preferred
