Burns & McDonnell India, based in Mumbai, seeks piping design professionals to develop 3D models using S3D and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams. The role emphasizes adherence to industry standards and client requirements.

Candidates should have ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with S3D and LFM experience. Hybrid work options may apply; on-site support in Mumbai is expected.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification as listed: ITI Mechanical Draftsman or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
• Certification: Piping Design & Engineering course from a reputable institute.
• Tools/Software: at least 3 years in S3D and 2 years in LFM.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed piping designs adhering to project specs and industry standards.
• Use S3D to develop accurate 3D piping models and layouts.
• Apply AutoCAD as an additional skill for project execution.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Familiar with standard discipline deliverables and project work processes.
• Utilize BMI quality system documents to improve discipline workflows.
• Refer to project databases to optimize designs and reuse prior work.
• Review vendor drawings and provide comments for alignment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Area Lead or Lead to create detailed piping designs that adhere to project specifications and industry standards.
• Utilize S3D software to create accurate 3D piping models and layouts.
• Apply AutoCAD skills as a valuable advantage to project execution.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Demonstrate familiarity with standard discipline deliverables and work processes on projects.
• Effectively utilize BMI quality system documents to enhance work processes within the discipline.
• Leverage databases of previous projects efficiently to optimize designs.
• Apply good engineering practices related to discipline work.
• Perform nozzle orientation, comment on Vendor Drawings (VDRs), and design equipment arrangements and piping layouts.
• Act as a Q4 checker for isometric drawings.
• Understand methods of design, fabrication, and operation of engineered features within the discipline, including the selection of appropriate piping and valve materials.
• Understand the roles played by other disciplines on projects to ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of designs, iterations, and changes.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification: ITI Mechanical Draftsman course, or a Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Certification: Piping Design & Engineering course from a reputable institute.

Tools and Software: Minimum three years' experience in S3D and two years' experience in LFM
