Job summary

Burns & McDonnell India Global Facility Services (GFS) Division in Mumbai is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead and support electrical design activities for data centers, food & beverages, industrial and commercial facilities in India and USA. You will design electrical systems, advise clients on codes, monitor installations, and collaborate with senior engineers to meet project goals.

The role requires a BE in electrical engineering with 2 years of related experience and CAD/REVIT/MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 2 years of related electrical design experience.
• Knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and codes.
• CAD, REVIT and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing electrical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace.
• Advise clients regarding electrical systems/requirements to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
• Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
• Developing design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, and distribution.
• Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
• Developing concept studies and design.
• Enforces standards and practices.
• Work with a Senior electrical engineer in supporting design activities on the project.

The GFS Division focuses on fast moving Food & Beverages, Consumer Goods Facilities, Life Science and Technology Facilities, Data Centers and Commercial Facilities which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences.

Burns & McDonnell India is looking for candidate to join our Global Facilities Group in Mumbai office to lead and support electrical Engineering & design activities involved on Data Center, Food & Beverages, Industrial & Commercial projects mainly in USA. This candidate will support design, planning and client coordination activities associated with high, medium and low voltage electrical distribution and control systems found in Data Center, Food & Beverages, Industrial & Commercial projects.

Responsibilities :

Specific areas of responsibility include the following:

• 1.Designing electrical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace
• 2.Advise clients regarding electrical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
• 3.Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
• 4.Participate in developing the design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution.
• 5.Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
• 6.Developing concept studies and design
• 7.Enforces standards and practices.
• 8.Work with a Senior electrical engineer in supporting design activities on the project.

Qualifications

• 1.Minimum Criteria
  • a.Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
  • b.2 years of related electrical design experience
  • c.Knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and codes
  • d.CAD, REVIT and Microsoft Office skills necessary to accomplish electrical design goals
• 2.Preferred Criteria
  • a.Data center or telecommunication facility experience and knowledge of critical facility electrical design
  • b.Understanding of NFPA 70, 70E, 75, 101 and other applicable sections.
