Burns & McDonnell India Global Facility Services (GFS) Division offers exciting opportunities for Associate Senior Electrical Engineers seeking to grow their careers in a fast‑paced, innovative environment focused on high‑tech building design and construction. The division works on Food & Beverages, Consumer Goods, Life Science, Technology, Data Centers and Commercial Facilities, providing a wide range of design and project execution experiences.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic Electrical Engineer to join our Global Facilities Group in the Mumbai and Bengaluru offices. The role involves leading and supporting electrical engineering and design activities for Data Center, Food & Beverages, Industrial, and Commercial projects mainly in the United States. The successful candidate will solve complex problems, adapt and modify standard techniques, and drive high, medium, and low‑voltage electrical distribution and control system design.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and equipment to create a safe workplace.
• Advise clients on electrical system requirements and safety code compliance.
• Monitor installation of designed equipment and systems to ensure compliance with specifications and safety codes.
• Participate in developing design criteria for protective device coordination, relay selection, medium‑voltage transformers, switchgear, and low‑voltage distribution.
• Review electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
• Conduct fault studies, arc flash, harmonic analysis, motor starting, and load‑flow analysis.
• Perform independent design calculations for transformers, DG sets, cables (HV & LV), lighting, grounding, AC/DC UPS, NGR, and capacitor sizing.
• Provide electrical design direction and resource management on multidisciplinary projects.
• Develop concept studies, detailed single‑line diagrams for HV/LV systems, layouts for power, grounding, lighting, and prepare narrative documentation.
• Enforce standards and practices in all design work.
• Collaborate with a Senior Electrical Engineer on supporting design activities.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• At least 3 years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems.
• Working knowledge of control systems and fundamental communication interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a project discipline.
• Experience with data center or telecom facilities.
• Knowledge of critical facility design and infrastructure.
• Sound understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC), 70E, 75, 101, 780 and related standards such as IEEE and IEC.
