Job summary

Burns & McDonnell India Global Facility Services division seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead and support electrical design for data centers, food & beverages, industrial and commercial projects in the USA. Based in Mumbai, you will design, plan and coordinate with clients on high, medium and low-voltage distribution and control systems.

You will work with CAD/REVIT and MS Office to develop design criteria, review specifications, and ensure compliance with safety codes and standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
• At least 2 years of related electrical design experience.
• Knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and codes.
• CAD, REVIT and Microsoft Office skills necessary to accomplish electrical design goals.
• Preferred: data center or telecommunication facility experience and knowledge of critical facility electrical design.
• Understanding of NFPA 70, 70E, 75, 101 and other applicable sections.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems/equipment to provide for a safe and efficient workplace.
• Advise clients regarding electrical systems to meet needs and safety codes.
• Monitor installation of designed equipment to ensure compliance with design specs.
• Develop design criteria for protective device coordination and medium voltage systems.
• Review electrical designs and specifications of equipment being purchased or fabricated.
• Develop concept studies and design documentation.
• Enforce standards and practices throughout the project.
• Collaborate with a senior electrical engineer in supporting design activities.

Burns & McDonnell India is looking for a candidate to join our Global Facilities Group in Mumbai office to lead and support electrical Engineering & design activities involved on Data Center, Food & Beverages, Industrial & Commercial projects mainly in USA. This candidate will support design, planning and client coordination activities associated with high, medium and low voltage electrical distribution and control systems found in Data Center, Food & Beverages, Industrial & Commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Designing electrical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace 2.Advise clients regarding electrical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes. 3.Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes. 4.Participate in developing the design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution. 5.Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated. 6.Developing concept studies and design 7.Enforces standards and practices. 8.Work with a Senior electrical engineer in supporting design activities on the project.
