Job summary

Buro Happold in Mumbai seeks an Electrical Engineer to craft innovative, sustainable building services designs. You will contribute to complex projects across India and beyond with a strong emphasis on BIM and Revit, while mentoring graduates and expanding your knowledge of design standards.

The role supports a flexible hybrid work model in Mumbai, with opportunities to work on high-profile international projects and a broad range of clients within a diverse, inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Broad design knowledge from concept to tender using Indian and international codes.
• Experience as an Electrical Engineer on projects.
• Domain expertise in codes and standards for electrical design.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to quickly learn new analysis packages.
• Digital engineering experience (coding) is advantageous.

Your next role

• Undertaking detailed electrical engineering building services design and cross check the results using hand calculations.
• Preparation of technical specifications and schedules.
• Preparation and contribution to design development reports.
• Planning and managing input production of design work with a keen willingness to engage and participate within the group’s strategy for BIM development as our tool of choices for all design related issues.
• Adding value to a project by thinking beyond your core discipline.
• Mentoring and assisting graduate engineers.

Your Skills And Experience

• A broad design knowledge – from Concept to Tender Designing - through working on a wide range of projects using Indian and International codes.
• Experience in an Electrical Engineer role on projects.
• Domain expertise in codes and standards in your field.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A willingness to quickly learn to use new analysis packages as required.
• Digital engineering experience (e.g. coding) would be advantageous but would not be a deal breaker.
• A Bachelor’s degree BEng or Master’s degree MEng in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in Revit would be very desirable.
• Ambition and eagerness to contribute within an established team
