Job summary

Buro Happold India Private Limited in Mumbai invites an Electrical Engineer to join our expanding team and deliver electrical building services design for diverse projects across India. The role supports a flexible hybrid work model and offers opportunities to mentor graduates and contribute to BIM development.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams, apply Indian and International codes, and grow through our learning programmes while advancing sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Broad design knowledge from Concept to Tender using Indian and International codes.
• Experience in an Electrical Engineer role on projects.
• Domain expertise in codes and standards in electrical engineering.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn new analysis packages as required.
• Digital engineering experience (coding) is advantageous but not required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering (BEng/MEng).
• Experience with Revit is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking detailed electrical engineering building services design and cross-checking results with hand calculations.
• Preparation of technical specifications and schedules.
• Contributing to design development reports.
• Planning and delivering input for BIM development across design tasks.
• Adding value to projects by integrating cross-discipline ideas.
• Mentoring and assisting graduate engineers.

Your next role

• Undertaking detailed electrical engineering building services design and cross check the results using hand calculations.
• Preparation of technical specifications and schedules.
• Preparation and contribution to design development reports.
• Planning and managing input production of design work with a keen willingness to engage and participate within the group’s strategy for BIM development as our tool of choices for all design related issues.
• Adding value to a project by thinking beyond your core discipline.
• Mentoring and assisting graduate engineers.

Your Skills And Experience

• A broad design knowledge – from Concept to Tender Designing - through working on a wide range of projects using Indian and International codes.
• Experience in an Electrical Engineer role on projects.
• Domain expertise in codes and standards in your field.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A willingness to quickly learn to use new analysis packages as required.
• Digital engineering experience (e.g. coding) would be advantageous but would not be a deal breaker.
• A Bachelor’s degree BEng or Master’s degree MEng in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in Revit would be very desirable. ‘
