Job summary

Saipem is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and review of power distribution systems (HV/MV/LV) and lighting layouts. You will apply IEC/NEC/IEEE standards, prepare ducting and routing for electrical layouts, and coordinate 2D/3D drafting with other disciplines.

8-15 years of relevant experience and a BE in Electrical are required. You will support procurement, vendor inspections, and on-site implementation of engineering solutions for construction teams in a challenging

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical field is required.
• 8-15 years of relevant work experience indicated.
• Experience with electrical distribution, protection schemes and design deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Review and recommend 2D/3D electrical designs.
• Understand IEC, NEC, IEEE standards and apply them.
• Design power generation and distribution systems (HV/MV/LV).
• Prepare material take-offs for power, lighting, earthing.
• Guide 3D and 2D drafting with other disciplines.
• Approve design deliverables per contract requirements.
• Support vendor inspection tests and post-order activities.
• Provide engineering solutions to on-site construction teams.

Job Description

• 2D and 3D activities review and recommendations


• Knowledge of main international standards, codes and regulations like International Electro technical commission(IEC), National Electric Code(NEC), Institution of electronic engineer ( IEEE).


• Knowledge of Electrical distribution plans based on High Voltage/Medium Voltage/Low Voltage systems available


• Design power generation and distribution, grounding, lighting


• Basic knowledge on Electrical tools for system studies, cable sizing, major equipment sizing.


• Design of protection schemes, substation layouts and other plant area electrical layouts


• Working knowledge of Lighting illumination calculations with AGI 32, Luxicon.


• Knowledge and guidance on Lighting schemes and controls


• Defining methods for bulk estimation and preparation of Material Take Off for power, lighting, earthing.


• Preparation of Purchase Requisitions and Data sheets


• Preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation reports


• Guiding designers on 3D model and 2D drafting in coordination with other disciplines


• Checking and approval of design deliverables as per contractual requirements


• Vendor inspection test plan approval and support post order activities


• Vendor drawing reviews and control of vendor documents


• Attend Vendor inspection tests and support post order activities


• Implementation of engineering solutions to construction team at site
