Job summary

Acesoft Labs seeks an experienced Electrical Product Design Engineer to develop automotive power electronic components for HVAC and transport refrigeration. You will create DFMEAs, test plans, and detailed documentation, while coordinating regulatory testing and applying NPD milestones.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical product design, solid knowledge of safety standards, and hands-on modeling/simulation using MATLAB or Dymola.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing automotive power electronic components (converters, inverters) for HVAC and transport refrigeration systems.
• Hands-on DFMEA and test plan development for electrical products.
• Ability to document power electronic components with specs and application documents.
• Coordinate regulatory testing (HALT, EMC) per standards.
• 5+ years in electrical product design and development.
• Familiarity with New Product Development (NPD) milestones and prerequisites.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards for mobile AC/DC systems.
• Modeling and simulation of electrical components in MATLAB or Dymola.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• 1. Should have Experience in design and development of Electrical & Power electronics components like converter, inverter modules, battery charger based on the requirements
• 2. Prior Experience of component qualification programs and new product development in an automotive/ machinery environment is a distinct advantage.
• 3. Experience in developing electrical components Temperature sensors, actuators, solenoids, motors, Drives, batteries, Contactors and knowledge of Analog circuits, Protection circuits, Controller hardware is an advantage.
• 4. Proficient in Modeling and simulation of electrical components.
• 5. Experience in design and debug of embedded microprocessor control systems desired.
• 6. Knowledge and experience of control systems and software testing and debug an advantage.
• 7. Capable of developing and executing test plans, interpreting test data, and developing and driving relevant corrective measures where necessary.
• 8. Previous experience in New Product Development (NPD) process, DFMEA, 6 Sigma, are desirable.
• 9. Apply systematic problem-solving skills and investigate product Quality and Reliability issues to find root cause and permanent corrective action design change recommendations.
• 10. Should Knowledge in PLM and Windchill is an advantage
• 11. Experience in Modelling and simulation would be advantage.
• 12. Exposure on Hardware design using Alitum would be beneficial
