Job summary

SRR Projects Pvt Ltd in Andhra Pradesh invites an experienced Electrical HV Substation Construction Engineer to lead site execution and commissioning of 132/33 kV AIS infrastructure.

The role involves supervising installation of AIS equipment, transformer setup, earthing, testing, and ensuring compliance with SLDs, GA drawings, and local regulations. 3–8+ years HV experience and BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering are required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8+ years of hands-on HV substation construction experience.
• Ability to read complex electrical blueprints and SLDs.
• Familiar with AIS switchyard clearance physics and relay schemes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of 132/33 kV AIS equipment incl. breakers, isolators, CT/PT.
• Oversee placement, oil filling, and accessories for transformers and LT switchgear.
• Direct earth mat, heavy-duty cable laying, tray installation, and grounding.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks (IR, tan delta, winding resistance) and testing.
• Verify work against SLDs, GA drawings, and local regulations.

Job description

• Site Execution & Erection: Supervise installation of 132 KV and 33 KV AIS equipment, including circuit breakers, isolators, current/voltage transformers (CT/PT), lightning arresters, and busbar structures.
• Transformer & Panel Setup: Oversee placement, oil filling, and accessories assembly of 132/33 KV power transformers, alongside indoor control and relay panels, battery chargers, and LT switchgear.
• Earthing & Cabling: Direct heavy-duty power and control cable laying, tray installation, termination, and the construction of the station’s main earth mat and neutral grounding.
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct pre-commissioning checks (IR, tan delta, contact resistance, winding resistance) and coordinate live system and relay protection testing.
• Quality & Compliance: Verify work matches approved Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and local utility regulations.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Diploma In Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 3 to 8+ years of hands-on high-voltage substation construction experience.
• Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with AIS switchyard clearance physics, protection relay schemes, SCADA/SAS integration, and the ability to read complex electrical blueprints.
• Soft Skills: Strong contractor coordination, safety enforcement (HSE), and documentation tracking.
