Job summary

Infosys seeks an experienced Electrical Designer Engineer to support large-scale Solar Power, Power Plant, Oil & Gas, and energy infrastructure projects. The role covers electrical layout engineering, cable tray and earthing design, lighting design, 3D modelling of electrical systems, and equipment engineering from concept to detailed engineering.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in electrical design, power distribution systems, and 3D modelling, with NEC and NEMA standards knowledge,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8-12 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in Electrical Layout Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical layouts for Solar, Power Plant, and Oil & Gas projects.
• Develop cable tray layouts, earthing layouts, lighting layouts, and lightning protection systems.
• Create and maintain cable schedules, termination schedules, I/O Lists, BOMs, MTOs, and conduit schedules.
• Perform 3D modelling of cable trays, junction boxes, conduits, electrical equipment, instruments, lighting fixtures, and fire & gas systems.
• Execute 3D cable routing, clash detection, and model reviews.
• Prepare wiring diagrams and installation details.
• Develop junction box fabrication details and construction drawings.
• Perform lighting calculations using DIALux.
• Review and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NEMA, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for project delivery.
