Job summary

A-SQUARE MEP CONSULTANTS invites a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to support senior engineers in developing electrical MEP design documentation. The role is hands-on and technical, offering exposure to design calculations, drafting, coordination, and learning end-to-end MEP workflows within a consultancy environment.

Responsibilities include preparing electrical layouts, basic load calculations, cable sizing, BOQs, and coordinating layouts with HVAC and plumbing.

Qualifications

• Fresher to 5 years of experience in Electrical Design (MEP).
• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong drafting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn MEP coordination and technical design processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing electrical layouts, power distribution drawings, and lighting layouts.
• Perform basic load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations under guidance.
• Prepare electrical schedules, legends, panel schedules, and BOQs.
• Support development of SLDs and schematic diagrams.
• Coordinate electrical layouts with HVAC and Plumbing services.
• Revise drawings based on coordination comments, design reviews, and client inputs.
• Learn and apply applicable electrical codes, standards, and best design practices.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical systems in buildings.
• Strong drafting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn MEP coordination and technical design processes.
