Responsibilities

• Create wiring diagrams, hook‑up drawings, loop drawings, termination details, junction box layouts, and control panel schematics.
• Prepare and review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, BOM, and specifications.

About the role

As a Design Engineer with 2 to 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation of Instrumentation and Control Panel Systems. This role demands a sound understanding of electrical and instrumentation engineering principles, control system architecture, and relevant international design standards.

You are expected to:

• Create detailed control and instrumentation design deliverables including wiring diagrams, hook‑up drawings, loop drawings, termination details, junction box layouts, and control panel schematics.
• Prepare and review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, bill of materials (BOM), and specifications in line with project and client requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with international and project‑specific standards (ISA, IEC, NEC, etc.), safety regulations, and quality norms.
• Work closely with process, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless instrumentation integration across disciplines.
• Present design concepts, progress updates, and project status to internal and external stakeholders.

You will be a great fit if you have:

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation and Control System Design.
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, E-CAD, EPLAN, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong understanding of field instrumentation, PLC/DCS interface design, and signal wiring.
• Knowledge in sizing and selection of instruments, sensors, transmitters, valves, and control components.
• Experience preparing technical documentation including datasheets, cable schedules, and instrument index etc.
