Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs in India is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer 1 to join our engineering team. You will create 2D/3D GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and terminal layouts for electrical panels using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IEC/NEC/UL standards.

The role requires BE/B.Tech with 3+ years or Diploma with 5+ years in electrical panel building/explosion proof, plus knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD 3D, EPLAN, MS Office and LV components (PLCs, relays, breakers).

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech with 3+ years in electrical panel building industry/explosion proof.

Responsibilities

• Drawing Creation: Build 2D/3D general arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and terminal strip layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Documentation: Generate accurate BOMs, cable schedules, and revision records.
• Compliance: Ensure designs follow IEC, NEC, or UL standards.

Education

• BE / B. Tech / Diploma (Electrical & Electronics Engg.,)

Required Qualification & Skill

• For BE / B. Tech with 3+ years of Exp. In Electrical panel Building Industry/Explosion Proof.
• For DIPLOMA with 5+ years of Exp. In Electrical panel Building Industry/Explosion Proof
• Design Tool – AUTOCAD 2D
• Knowledge EPLAN, AUTOCAD 3D Will be added advantage.
• MS Office
• Understanding of low-voltage systems, control components (PLCs, relays, circuit breakers), and panel heat calculations

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Creation: Build 2D/3D general arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and terminal strip layouts using tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Documentation: Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), cable schedules, and revision records.
• Compliance: Ensure designs follow industry codes and standards like IEC, NEC, or UL.

Collaboration

Work with Customer/Sales to understand the Project Requirements & Speciation and Work with shop floor, production, and project management teams to resolve manufacturing issues
