You will develop industrial power distribution systems, prepare calculations and drawings, select equipment, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. We partner with manufacturing organizations to improve productivity, optimize operations, and accelerate digital transformation through innovative engineering solutions and advanced technologies.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to support electrical design and engineering activities for an automotive OEM manufacturing facility. The role involves developing industrial electrical power distribution systems, preparing engineering calculations and drawings, selecting electrical equipment, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Medium Voltage(MV) and Low Voltage(LV) Power Distribution Systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities.
  • Prepare Single Line Diagrams(SLD), Electrical Load Calculations(ELC), Load Schedules, and Distribution Schemes.
  • Perform Cable Sizing, Feeder Sizing, and Voltage Drop Calculations.
  • Develop Cable Routing, Cable Tray Layouts, Earthing and Grounding Systems, and Lighting and Emergency Lighting Layouts.
  • Design and specify electrical equipment, including Transformers, Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, Distribution Panels, Switchboards, and Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems.
  • Prepare Electrical Design Calculations, Technical Specifications, Datasheets, Technical Reports, and Procurement Documentation.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Review vendor drawings and technical submissions for compliance with project and engineering standards.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, and Utility Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables and resolution of design issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and industry best practices.
Required Technical Skills:
  • Experience in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Power Distribution Design for Manufacturing Facilities and Industrial Plants
  • Proficiency in SLD, Load Calculations, and Cable Sizing
  • Knowledge of Power Distribution Systems, Transformers, Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, and Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems
  • Experience in Cable Routing, Cable Tray Design, Earthing, Grounding, and Lighting Systems
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Codes, Standards, and Industrial Engineering Practices
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings and Technical Documentation
  • Excellent Coordination, Documentation, and Problem-Solving Skills
Software Skills:
  • AutoCAD (Mandatory)
  • Revit Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing / Revit Electrical (Preferred)
  • Navisworks and Building Information Modeling Coordination
  • Microsoft Excel and Electrical Engineering Calculation Tools
