Job summary

Insight Technologies in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical systems for industrial automation equipment and machine-building projects. You will create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts, and maintain BOMs.

The role involves selecting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives and safety devices, while ensuring compliance with standards. Collaborating with Mechanical, Software and Procurement teams, you will support commissioning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant electrical design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for industrial automation equipment, CNC machines, and machine-building projects.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using SEE Electrical or equivalent.
• Prepare and maintain Electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Select electrical components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, relays, power supplies, safety devices, and communication modules.
• Develop electrical architecture in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Design control panels and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Software, Automation, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams.
• Support machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Review customer specifications and prepare engineering documentation.
• Interface with suppliers for component selection, technical clarifications, and cost optimization.
• Ensure projects are delivered within schedule, quality, and budget requirements.
• Maintain all engineering documents, revision records, and design changes.
