Talent Corner Hr Services Bengaluru is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer with hands-on AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical skills to lead engineering and design activities on assigned projects.

You will develop electrical designs from concept to IFC, review deliverables for technical accuracy and code compliance, coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation and other disciplines, and apply NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA and IEC standards.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes and standards.
• Hands-on experience in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience in independently developing electrical designs.
• Substation design experience is an added advantage.
• Review engineering deliverables and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Aufgaben

• Lead and execute electrical engineering and design activities for assigned projects.
• Develop and review electrical designs from conceptual through detailed/IFC stages.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams, Three-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control circuit diagrams, interconnection diagrams, panel layouts, Cable schedules, equipment layouts, lighting and power layouts, grounding layouts, conduit and cable tray layouts, panel schedules, cable & conduit schedules etc.
• Develop electrical design criteria and establish design assumptions.
• Select and size electrical equipment and systems based on project requirements.
• Review designs for technical accuracy, constructability, code compliance and coordination.
• Perform and/or review electrical calculations including load calculations, feeder sizing, cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, short-circuit calculations, equipment fault-duty evaluation, breaker selection, transformer sizing, cable tray and conduit sizing, lighting calculations, motor sizing, generator sizing, UPS sizing, Battery/DC system calculations, grounding etc.
• Provide technical engineering and selection support for LV/MV Switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, panel boards, transformers, ATS, UPS systems, battery chargers, DC distribution systems, generators, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, CTs/PTs, protection relays, cable trays, conduit systems, lighting systems, grounding systems.
• Develop equipment specifications and prepare equipment datasheets.
• Should be able to review AutoCAD Electrical drawings critically from both an engineering and drafting perspective.
• Perform detailed technical reviews of electrical engineering deliverables.
• Review work prepared by junior and mid-level engineers.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and design criteria.
• Identify design errors, inconsistencies and coordination issues.
• Perform interdisciplinary design reviews.
• Participate in internal QA/QC processes.
• Ensure deliverables are complete, accurate and issued on schedule.
• Coordinate electrical designs with civil, mechanical, instrumentation and other disciplines.
• Incorporate client and engineering review comments.
• Prepare engineering documentation, calculations and material/equipment schedules.
• Follow applicable NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA and IEC standards, as applicable to the project.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, electrical codes and standards, engineering calculations and design practices, along with hands‑on experience in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical.

The candidate will be responsible for independently developing electrical designs, reviewing engineering deliverables, providing technical guidance to junior engineers, coordinating with other disciplines, and supporting Project Managers in successful project execution.

Substation design experience is an added advantage.
