Job summary

GE Vernova sucht einen erfahrenen Elektroingenieur für die Entwicklung von Antrieben und Schaltschränken. Sie arbeiten an LV/MV-Drive-Design, sizing von VFDs und der Umsetzung technischer Anforderungen mittels Berechnungen, Modellen und Simulationen.

Zu den Aufgaben gehören die Validierung von Prototypen, Dokumentation, Zusammenarbeit mit dem Lead Engineer, sowie Reisen zur Inbetriebnahme von Projekten. Erwartet werden 2–5 Jahre Erfahrung und fundierte Kenntnisse in Elektrotechnik.

Qualifications

• Abschluss in Leistungselektronik oder Elektrotechnik (Bachelor/Master).
• 2–5 Jahre Erfahrung im Electrical Design & Testing von Industrieantrieben.
• Erfahrung mit Design-Tools: AUTOCAD, E-Plan, Promis.E; MATLAB/Simulink; ideal Ansys.

Responsibilities

• LV/MV Drive Engineering – Produktentwicklung und Schrankentwurf.
• Auslegung von VFD-Größen; Bauteilwahl/Designänderungen.
• Entwurf von Systemen, Berechnungen, Simulationen.
• Dokumentation von Design-Unterlagen und Stücklisten.
• Fertigungsunterstützung und FAT/Prüfungen nach UL/IEC/NEC.

Job Description Summary

Tätigkeiten, die zum Design und zur Entwicklung von Produkten, Lösungen und Systemen beitragen. Beinhaltet Tätigkeiten zur technischen Verbesserung bestehender Produkte und Komponenten Verantwortlich für die Qualität der eigenen Arbeit.Unterliegt der direkten Betriebsaufsicht/vorgeschriebenen Arbeitsanweisungen/Systemprüfungen.Arbeitet in einem genau definierten betrieblichen Framework.Es gibt im Allgemeinen eine schrittweise Abfolge von operativen Standardaufgaben, die befolgt werden müssen, um ein Endergebnis zu erzielen.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• LV/MV Drive Engineering – Product Engineering and Control cabinet design as per standards requirement.
• Engage in VFD Sizing, part selection/ design change as required for the project .
• Understand product / project specifications and realize requirements to design using calculations, modeling and simulations.
• Design system/equipment to meet reliability, testing standards, manufacturability, material and cost guidelines
• Prepare & validate Design documents - Configurations, principles of operation, application guidelines, specifications, BOM, SLD & drawings as per project and product requirement.
• Verify functional performance of prototype hardware under all specified operating conditions.
• Support Manufacturing of equipment at Factory / Vendor facility
  Document functional test requirements and conduct test according to applicable standards (UL/IEC/NEC etc.…) /conduct projectFAT’s.
• Coordinate with Lead Engineer and team Manager on product / project execution on a continuous basis.
• May require travel to commission engineered projects as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Min. 2 - 5 years of Electrical and product design & testing expertise for industrial drives and its related components (Renewables / Oil & Gas / Marine / Metal Process Industrial knowledge preferred).
• Experience/knowledge in Electrical design tools like AUTOCAD / E-Plan / Promis.E and MATLAB/Simulink experience required.
• Preferred simulation tools experience like MATLAB/Simulink and Ansys.
• In-depth knowledge of motors /drive control Systems.
• Lead , create and review electrical design documents complying to global standards and lead overall VFD projects from Order to execution.
• For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
