Job summary

Burns & McDonnell India seeks an experienced CAD/Electrical designer to execute 2D drawings for industrial facilities, including power systems, safety classifications, and solar-related layouts. The role requires strong AutoCAD and Microstation skills and hands-on experience with electrical drawings.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope to schedule, and advance through increased responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI certification required.
• 4-12 years of work experience in relevant fields.
• Experience with CAD for electrical systems in industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute CAD/Storage/Solar projects independently.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and BMUS.
• Manage assigned scope within schedule and budget while meeting quality norms.
• Develop 2D drawings for electrical systems (LHS, layouts, grounding, protection).
• Familiar with solar systems: DC connection, string combiner, inverter skid, MV collection, etc.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clash-free system design.
• Assist engineers in preparing and reviewing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Execute CAD/Storage/Solar Projects independently
• Co-ordinate with other desciplines as well as with BMUS
• Responsible to manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule, budget and complying with agreed project quality norms.
• Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.
• Responsible for development of 2D drawing of various electrical systems for industrial facilities like single line diagram of power systems, electrical equipment layout, hazardous area classification drawing, interconnection & hook-up drawing, lighting, grounding and lightning protection systems.
• Solar Skills - Familiar with Utility Solar system - DC connection, String Combiner, Inverter Skid, MV AV Collection etc.
• Solar system deliverables - Array Layout, Overall Site Plan, AC & DC Single Line, Cable Routing, Cable Trench/Crossing Details, Grounding, Equipment - Module, Combiner, String/Central Inverter, Transformer etc.
• Strong command on AutoCAD and Microstation - Able to write auto Scripts to help Automozation, Knowledge of AutoCAD Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Coordinate with other disciplines and other stake holder(s) to develop a clash free system design.
• Assist more experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.

Qualifications

The candidate should have a Diploma/ITI certification. The candidate should have a work experience of 4-12 years
