Job summary

EzyHelpers in Bangalore is seeking elder care attendants to support a senior parent in a family home. You will assist with bathing, meals, medication reminders, mobility, and companionship, in a role that feels like family rather than clinical care.

We train you for 60 hours before placement and provide a care manager you can reach 24/7, plus a supervisor who visits every two weeks. Most attendants stay 6–9 months, building trust with the family and the patient.

Qualifications

• Speaks at least one of Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi or English.
• Aadhaar card and one address proof available.
• Two references we can call.
• Physical fitness to assist mobility.
• Patience with elderly people, including memory loss.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, meals and medication reminders.
• Provide mobility support and fall-prevention checks.
• Offer companionship, walks, reading aloud, and light music.
• Perform light in-room housekeeping and daily family updates on WhatsApp.
• Report health changes to the care manager promptly.

About the role

Elder care attendants are the heart of what we do. You spend your days in a Bangalore family's home, looking after a senior parent - helping with bathing, meals, medication reminders, walks in the garden, and quiet conversations through long afternoons. It is not nursing. It is closer to family work, done by trained, kind people who are paid fairly for it. We train you for 60 hours before your first placement, and we keep you supported with a care manager you can call at any hour, and a supervisor who visits the home every two weeks. Most elder care attendants stay with the same family for 6 to 9 months - long enough that the patient asks for you by name on your day off.

What you'll do

• Personal hygiene assistance - bathing, grooming, oral and nail care.
• Help with dressing and changing, with dignity always first.
• Meal preparation per the patient's dietary plan and feeding when needed.
• Medication reminders at the right times, logged in our app.
• Mobility support and fall-prevention checks throughout the day.
• Companionship - conversation, walks, reading aloud, light music.
• Light housekeeping inside the patient's room (not the whole house).
• Daily updates to family on WhatsApp at the end of each shift.
• Escalate any health change, however small, to the care manager.
• Maintain a clean appearance and wear the EzyHelpers uniform on duty; carry your ID badge at all times.

What we're looking for

Skills and experience required
