Kaynes Semicon in Gujarat, India, is seeking an EHS & Sustainability Manager/Sr. Manager to lead EHS systems, drive a zero-harm culture and manage environmental performance.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance, incident investigations, emergency preparedness, and stakeholder engagement with operations and external authorities. Job Description- EHS & Sustainability Manager / Sr. Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• EHS Leadership: Lead implementation and management of EHS systems in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Safety Culture: Drive a Zero Harm culture through risk assessments, behaviour-based safety initiatives, proactive hazard identification, and effective control measures.
• Incident Management: Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Emergency Preparedness: Manage emergency preparedness, crisis response, safety committees, and contractor safety programs.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable requirements including the Factories Act, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Fire & Safety norms, hazardous waste regulations, and other statutory requirements.
• Sustainability Management: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives focused on energy efficiency, carbon reduction, water conservation, waste minimization, and circular economy practices.
• Environmental Performance: Monitor and improve environmental performance indicators including emissions, waste, water consumption, and energy usage.
• ESG Reporting: Lead ESG data collection, reporting, sustainability performance reviews, and related improvement initiatives.
• Green Manufacturing: Drive projects related to renewable energy, green manufacturing, resource optimization, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Management Systems: Maintain and enhance ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including internal audits, management reviews, compliance assessments, and certification audits.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Operations, Quality, HR, Facilities, and Engineering teams to integrate safety and sustainability into daily operations and interface with regulatory authorities, customers, auditors, and external stakeholders.

Experience & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of Indian EHS legislation and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Exposure to ESG reporting, sustainability programs, energy management, and carbon reduction initiatives.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, emergency preparedness, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and contractor safety management.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, renewable energy, and green manufacturing initiatives.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferred.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
