Job summary

Exponent Energy in Bengaluru is seeking a Documentation and EHS Sustenance specialist to implement and maintain ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISMS, and ensure compliance with local and corporate safety requirements. You will coordinate with all plant departments for monitoring, hazardous waste handling, and reporting, driving safety by design in processes and changes.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering (Environment, Mechanical, Electrical) with DOF Safety Officer qualification.
• 6–8 years EHS experience in manufacturing and hands-on in EHS systems.
• Good communication, compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISMS.
• Coordinate with all departments for monitoring, testing and waste management.
• Prepare Environmental Statements and monthly MIS data.
• Drive MOS activities, safety by design and risk assessment (HIRA/JSA).
• Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions and drive safety culture.
• Ensure chemical safety, waste management, contractor safety, and emergency preparedness.

Job Role : Documentation and sustenance of EHS systems Support in the implimentation and maintenance of the ISO 14001 , ISO 45001 & ISMS systems Support Lead EHS in compliance to the local, national and corporate legal and other requirement 4. Co-ordinates with all departments in the plant for: i) EHS related monitoring & testing ii) Hazardous Waste Management & Disposal iii) Filing of monthly monitoring reports as per statutory requirement iv) Preparation of Environmental Statement v) Compilation of data for monthly MIS Vi) Drive and support the MOS activities Responsible for implementation and maintenance of safety standards across the plants. Operation and maintenance of pollution prevention units like , STP, DG stack etc Independently manage EHS activities including risk assessment (HIRA/JSA), incident investigation, and corrective actions Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFT) to integrate safety in design, operations, and process improvements Drive safety culture initiatives such as BBS, safety campaigns, and employee engagement programs Ensure effective management of chemical safety, waste management, contractor safety, and emergency preparedness Monitor EHS KPIs, analyse trends, and recommend improvement actions Support new projects, line setup, and engineering changes with strong Safety by Design approach

Qualification

Graduate in Engineering ( Environment, Mechanical, Electrical) background / Masters in Environment Science with Qualified Safety Officer recognised by DOF- Karnataka. Experience : 6-8 years experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment. Must have hands-on in implementation & maintenance of EHS systems. Working knowledge in battery manufactuing would be an added advantage

Skill Sets & Competencies

• 1 Good communication skills, good proficiency in verbal & written English and local language
• 2 Understanding of local statutory , legal & corporate requirements.
• 3 Basic computer operating skills, good knowledge of Excel will be an advantage
