Job summary

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Business degree required.
  • Health and Safety qualification recognised by local authorities.
  • ISO14001 and ISO45001 knowledge.
  • 5–8 years of professional experience.
  • Railway projects experience desirable.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership; good communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support PM to achieve EHS performance goals.
  • Ensure EHS risk assessments and measures are implemented.
  • Prepare and maintain project-level emergency plans.
  • Monitor subcontractors for EHS compliance.
  • Coach and assess EHS teams on projects.
  • Coordinate with social and medical partners on EHS matters.
  • Deploy AZDP and TOPE EHS standards.
  • Ensure statutory, regulatory and company compliance.
  • Maintain EHS records and documentation.
  • Plan and deliver EHS training and communications.
  • Investigate incidents and share lessons learned.
  • Submit monthly EHS reports and ensure data quality.

Job Summary

Take on a new challenge and apply your environmental health and safety expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors while minimizing environmental impact. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (Project Management, Human Resources, Manufacturing, and more), oversee risk assessments, and implement emergency plans, among other responsibilities.

You'll specifically take care of ensuring compliance with Alstoms EHS standards and tools, but also monitor and mitigate risks related to historical pollution.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting Project Management in achieving EHS performance goals
  • Ensuring EHS risk assessments are conducted and appropriate measures are implemented
  • Preparing, implementing, and maintaining emergency plans at the project level
  • Monitoring and managing subcontractor activities to ensure EHS compliance
  • Assisting, coaching, and assessing EHS teams in projects
  • Communicating with social and medical partners about EHS matters
  • Deploying Alstom EHS standards and tools, such as the Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP) and Transport Operational Performance in Environment (TOPE)
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements
  • Maintaining appropriate records and documentation
  • Preparing and implementing EHS training and communication plans
  • Investigating and analyzing accidents/incidents and sharing lessons learned
  • Submitting monthly EHS reports and ensuring data quality
All about you
  • University degree in Engineering or Business
  • Health Safety qualification recognized by local authorities (mandatory)
  • Environmental qualification at diploma or degree level (desirable)
  • 5-8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in Environment, Health Safety
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Deep knowledge of local legal requirements
  • Experience in railway projects (desirable)
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • Initiative and action-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and a rigorous approach
  • Proficiency in computer tools
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies
