Job summary

Alstom is seeking an EHS Site Manager for Savli, Gujarat. You’ll drive environmental, health, and safety initiatives on site, partnering with management, EHS engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure a safe workplace and compliant operations.

You’ll lead the EHS management system, foster a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement across site activities, ensuring contractor compliance and effective training programs.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Health & Safety qualification recognized by local authorities
• Environmental qualification (Diploma or Degree level) is desirable
• Proven experience or understanding of EHS risk assessment and management
• Knowledge of EHS management systems and statutory compliance
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities
• Analytical thinking and a rigorous mindset
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools

• Developing and deploying local EHS procedures and tools

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your environmental, health, and safety (EHS) expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a proactive and collaborative team of professionals.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors while minimizing environmental impacts and safeguarding Alstom’s assets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with site management, EHS engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams, driving the implementation of EHS policies, supporting operational management, and ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and maintaining the site’s EHS management system, but also lead initiatives to foster a strong EHS culture and continuous improvement.
