Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an EHS Officer to implement and monitor Environmental, Health, and Safety programs ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental or safety engineering and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/ Diploma in Environmental or Safety field.
• Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company policies.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports with root cause analysis.
• Deliver safety inductions and periodic training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor PPE usage and safety procedures adherence.
• Maintain EHS records, permits, reports and compliance docs.
• Coordinate emergency drills and evacuation procedures.
• Support environmental initiatives including waste management.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments at site locations.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend improvements.
• Conduct safety induction programs and periodic training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor the use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Maintain EHS records, permits, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness programs, mock drills, and evacuation procedures.
• Support environmental management initiatives, including waste management and sustainability programs.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is preferred.
