Job summary

Lodha is seeking an Occupational Safety and Health professional to develop and implement safety policies, conduct site inspections, and investigate incidents. The role requires coordinating with management to promote a culture of safety and ensuring regulatory compliance across high-rise construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have OSH qualifications, strong communication skills, and experience in construction safety, with a focus on policy development, training, and data-driven safety

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in OSH or related field or equivalent experience.
• Professional certification such as Advance diploma in industrial safety.
• Proven experience in occupational safety and health management, preferably in construction/high-rise environments.
• Strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations (Factory Rules, MBOCW, EPA) and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills to train and educate employees at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide safety training to employees on hazard recognition, emergency response, and PPE usage.
• Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents for regulatory reporting and analysis purposes.
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to occupational safety and health.
• Participate in safety committees and meetings to discuss safety issues, initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with external agencies and contractors on safety-related matters as needed.
• Assist with the development and review of emergency response plans and procedures.
