Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required or equivalent.
  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety is mandatory.
  • NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 8–12 years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in managing EHS programs and teams.

We are looking for EHS Manager

The Factory EHS Manager is responsible for leading the Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability agenda of the manufacturing facility. The role ensures compliance with applicable legal and corporate requirements, drives a proactive safety culture, minimizes environmental impact, and provides EHS leadership for plant operations, engineering projects, capacity expansions, and capital investments.

You’ll make a difference by
Environment, Health & Safety Management
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS standards, procedures, standards, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations.
  • Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA), and workplace inspections.
  • Lead incident, accident, near-miss, and occupational illness investigations and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Drive implementation of behaviour-based safety and safety culture improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve key EHS performance indicators and targets.
  • Manage workplace health programs, industrial hygiene assessments, and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure effective emergency preparedness and response plans, including regular emergency drills.
  • Oversee contractor safety management and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
Environmental Management
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits, licenses, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage air emissions, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste, solid waste, and resource consumption.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives related to energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Ensure environmental monitoring, reporting, and compliance documentation are maintained accurately.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on environmental matters.
Compliance & Management Systems
  • Lead implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Conduct internal EHS audits and support external certification audits.
  • Maintain all statutory records, licenses, permits, and registers.
  • Track and ensure closure of audit findings and compliance actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company EHS standards and global best practices.
Training, Awareness & Leadership
  • Develop and execute EHS training plans for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and leadership safety programs.
  • Coach and mentor line managers and supervisors in EHS leadership practices.
  • Facilitate employee engagement programs to strengthen safety ownership and accountability.
Projects & Capital Expansion Support
  • Serve as the EHS focal point for new projects, plant expansions, brownfield and greenfield developments.
  • Participate in project planning, engineering reviews, and design discussions to integrate EHS requirements from the design stage.
  • Conduct EHS risk assessments for new equipment, production lines, utilities, warehouses, and infrastructure projects.
  • Review layouts, process designs, fire protection systems, hazardous area classifications, ergonomics, and emergency access provisions.
  • Support HAZID, HAZOP, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Develop project-specific EHS management plans and contractor safety requirements.
  • Monitor construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with EHS standards and legal requirements.
  • Lead contractor safety evaluations, audits, inspections, and permit management during project execution.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities to ensure safe and compliant operations.
  • Coordinate regulatory approvals, environmental clearances, and statutory permissions required for projects.
  • Drive sustainable design principles and and support projects related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste reduction, and carbon reduction initiatives.
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, or related discipline.
  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety is Mandatory.
  • NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH, or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • 8-12 years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or any other environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in managing EHS programs and teams.
  • Proven experience supporting capital projects, facility expansions, and engineering changes.
