Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Bengaluru invites an experienced Programming Engineer to join the Railway Signaling Products team. You will work on assembly and testing of signaling hardware, conduct ICT programming and PCB tests, analyze results, and support automation initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in railway signaling, ISO/IRIS/SIL-4 familiarity, and a Diploma/BE in ECE/EEE/E&I. Rotational shifts and 5S in factory environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in railway signaling product assembly and testing.
  • Diploma/BE in ECE/EEE/E&I.
  • Experience with ICT programming and PCB testing.
  • Familiarity with ISO, IRIS, and SIL-4 compliance and factory audits.
  • Axle counter experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge in railway signaling product assembly and testing.
  • Conduct asset programming testing to verify the integrity and functionality of electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and connectors.
  • Analyse test results to identify defects, deviations from specifications, and potential manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive automation and productivity improvement projects.
  • Document test procedures and generate detailed reports.
  • Handling RDSO customer inspections and documentation.
  • Maintain awareness and adherence to SIL-4 safety standards.
  • Flexible working in rotational shift.
  • Practice 5S and continuous improvement in the factory environment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and local EHS standards.

  • Familiarity with ISO, IRIS, SIL-4 compliance and factory audits.
  • Axle counter experience will be an added advantage.
