Job summary

Avant Garde Cleanroom and Engineering Solutions Pvt Ltd (ACES) seeks an experienced EHS Manager for MEP EPC projects across Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Mumbai. You will lead site EHS plans, ensure compliance with ISO 45001, and drive risk assessments, audits, and regulatory liaison.

The role demands 10–15 years in MEP EHS for Pharma/Cleanroom/Li-Ion/Solar/Semiconductor sectors, with strong knowledge of local and international safety standards.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with Industrial Safety qualification such as NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA.
• 5–10 years of MEP project experience in Pharma/Cleanroom/Li-Ion Battery/Solar/Semiconductor industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific EHS plans, policies, and procedures as per corporate guidelines and legal requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments (HIRA) and JHA for MEP activities (electrical work, working at height, confined spaces, fire systems).
• Perform safety inspections and audits of locations, equipment, and practices; investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, checklists, and PTWs for high-risk jobs.
• Prepare and implement waste management plans (solid, e-waste, biomedical) per norms.
• Organize EHS training, toolbox talks, and drills; coordinate with PMs, clients, subcontractors, and regulators.

Role overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific EHS plans, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and legal requirements.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments (HIRA - Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) and job hazard analyses (JHA) to identify potential dangers associated with MEP activities (e.g., electrical work, working at height, confined spaces, fire systems installation)
• Perform regular safety inspections and audits of all work locations, equipment (lifting tools, firefighting systems), and practices to ensure adherence to safety standards and codes. Oversee the investigation of accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including safety reports (daily, weekly, monthly), checklists, and permits-to-work (PTW) for high-risk jobs.
• Prepare and implement comprehensive waste management plans (solid, e-waste, biomedical, etc.) in compliance with relevant norms
• Organize and conduct EHS training programs, including safety inductions, toolbox talks, and mock drills for emergencies like fire, structural collapse, or electrical shock. Coordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and external regulatory bodies to ensure seamless EHS integration and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

Education: B.E. / B. Tech. or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with an additional qualification in Industrial Safety, such as ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) or certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.

Experience: 5 - 10 years of relevant experience of MEP projects in Pharma/ Cleanroom/ Li-Ion Battery / Solar/ Semiconductor industries shall be preferred

Knowledge: Strong understanding of national safety regulations, local codes, and international standards such as ISO 45001.
