Job summary

CorroHealth Inc in India seeks a Medical Coder to extract information from patient records, assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10 and APC/DRG codes, and ensure documents align with coding guidelines. The role requires a Life Science degree, 2–4 years of medical coding experience, and CPC/COC/CRC/CPCP or CCS/CCSP/CCA certifications.

Qualifications

• Life Science graduation or equivalent with Anatomy/Physiology as main subjects.
• 2-4 years of work experience as a medical coder.
• Any one of the following coding certifications CPC, COC, CRC, CPCP from AAPC CCS, CCSP, CCA from AHIMA
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong people skills & Outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information

Responsibilities

• Ensuring documents are grammatically correct and free from typing errors
• Performing chart audits
• Informing supervisor of issues with equipment and computer program

• Ensuring that codes tally with doctors’ diagnosis
• Be updated about new coding rules as codes change from time to time
• Collecting and distributing coding related information and billing issues

Required Expertise & Qualification:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
