Job description

We are seeking a Manager Fund Accountant to join the RESIG Team in our Bengaluru/Mumbai office. This role involves oversight of fund accounting operations, client reporting, team leadership and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Dissemination and review of NAVs for PE Funds following accepted accounting principles and local tax requirements.
• Complete regulatory and client reporting covering fund valuation, portfolio, expenses, and transaction volumes.
• Prepare and review quarterly reporting to investors on funds’ and portfolio companies’ performance.
• Prepare and review financial statements of funds (under US GAAP) and audit schedules for statutory audit.
• Assist the management team with broader financial and accounting matters affecting clients.
• Collaborate with teams in other locations to define strategy, prioritize projects, and implement corrective action plans.
• Work with technology teams on special projects, bespoke reports, product implementation and UAT.
• Serve as primary escalation point for internal and external staff queries and develop process, productivity, and quality standards.
• Lead service, system, and process enhancements, evaluate system testing, and train staff on new technology.
• Engage clients and CRMs to build rapport, manage expectations, and maintain transparency.
• Strive to attain 100% client reference/recommendation.

• Manage a team of professionals to meet goals, conduct personnel duties, and support achievement via SMART goal settings.
• Mentor leadership skills and best practices among team members.
• Encourage and facilitate team communication and rapport across offices.
• Build employee motivation and engagement through innovative programs.
• Proactively manage attrition and fast‑track high performers.

• Contribute to special projects driven by management.
• Ensure internal controls and procedures align with SOCII Type1 requirements.
• Achieve 100% success in SOCII Type1 audit.

Experience & Qualifications

• MBAs (Finance), CFA, CA or equivalent qualification.
• 8‑12 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably with hands‑on private equity experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of financial markets and accepted accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision under time pressure.
• Drive to enhance process efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Strong project‑management and managerial skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in MSExcel.
• Ability to work in a global operating model.
• Experience with Yardi is an added advantage.
