Job summary

Quest Global is seeking an experienced AVEVA E3D Administrator to lead system setup, integration, and customization across E3D and Diagrams platforms in oil and gas EPC projects.

The role requires hands-on expertise with AVEVA tools, PML scripting, and strong collaboration with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure data integrity, standards compliance, and smooth project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in EPC/Oil & Gas projects.
• Proven expertise as an E3D Administrator with AVEVA E3D and AVEVA Diagrams.
• Strong proficiency in PML (Programming Macro Language) for customization and automation.
• Deep knowledge of Oil & Gas industry modeling standards, specifications, and workflows.
• Experience with SQL databases, project data management, and integration of AVEVA tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• E3D System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain AVEVA E3D project environments.
• E3D databases, catalogs, specifications, and project structures management.
• Ensure system performance, version control, and data integrity.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with AVEVA support as required.
• AVEVA Diagrams administration: Configure and administer AVEVA Diagrams modules.
• Manage symbol catalogs, templates, drawing standards, and data models.
• Coordinate data consistency between Diagrams and E3D models.
• Customization & Automation (PML): Develop and maintain PML scripts for customization and automation.
• Create tools, menus, macros, reports, interfaces for engineering teams.
• Optimize workflows through automation and smart modeling solutions.
• Project Support & Coordination: Provide technical support to design teams across disciplines.
• Conduct user training, onboarding sessions, and user guides.
• Implement project standards, modeling guidelines, and quality checks.
• Monitor project progress related to E3D deliverables and support project execution.
• Data Management & Integration: Ensure integration between E3D, AVEVA Diagrams, AVEVA Engineering, and other tools.
• Manage metadata, tagging conventions, and engineering data exchange requirements.
• Support migration of legacy data to AVEVA platforms.
• Governance & Compliance: Enforce compliance with company standards and EPC best practices.
• Maintain audit trails, security permissions, and project backups.
• Prepare technical documentation, configurations, and change logs.

Key Responsibilities

• E3D System Administration

  • Develop and maintain PML scripts for customization, automation, and productivity enhancements.
  • Create custom tools, menus, macros, reports, and interfaces as required by engineering teams.

  • Provide technical support to design teams across disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation, etc.).
  • Conduct user training, onboarding sessions, and preparation of user guides.

  • Monitor project progress related to E3D deliverables and support project execution.
• Data Management & Integration
  • Ensure integration and interoperability between E3D, AVEVA Diagrams, AVEVA Engineering, and other project tools.

Work Experience
