Job summary

Speed Global in Pune, Maharashtra seeks an Associate Technical Leader for Genset control system platforms and industrial automation. You will architect interfaces among ECUs, panels and PLCs, and work with global teams to enhance functionality and reliability.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation is required.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant engineering experience in genset control systems.
• Experience with CAN communication and SAE J1939 protocols.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA software and industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and IEC 61131-3 standard.
• Familiarity with wago controllers and related control panels.

Responsibilities

• Be the architect for Genset control system platform and industrial automation.
• Design interfaces between proprietary hardware such as ECUs, gen control panels, PLCs and HMIs.
• Collaborate with controls and governor manufacturers to improve functionality and mitigate issues.
• Specify, design, validate, and maintain control systems.
• Develop custom customer applications with control systems.
• Oversee hardware items: regulators, control panels, engine ECUs, PLCs and relays.
• Coordinate with global teams within a multinational engineering organization.
• Devise strategic plans for problem resolution using data.
• Promote compliance with the company Code of Conduct in area of responsibility.
• Involve in development and validation of special customer projects and deployments.
• Leverage global knowledge base to support R&D and deployments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Be the architect for Genset control system platform & Industrial Automation
• Design interfaces between various proprietary hardware (ECU’s, Gen control panels, PLC’s, HMI’s)
• Work directly with controls and governor manufacturers to improve functionality and mitigate issues
• Specify, design, validate, and maintain control systems
• Develop special customer applications with controls system
• Hardware responsibilities: voltage regulators, control panels, engine ECUs, PLC’s, and other protective relays
• Work within a global electrical engineering organization and co-ordinate with global team in respective projects
• Devise strategic plans for problem resolutions using facts and gathered data
• Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the company Code of Conduct
• Involve in development and validation of special customer projects and as required.
• Leverage global knowledge base to support R&D developments and customized deployments

Skills and Experience:
