Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of SCADA systems for plant operations.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the selection and integration of control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements and ensure alignment with operational goals.
• Oversee the configuration and customization of SCADA systems, including alarm management, data acquisition, and reporting tools.
• Ensure system performance, stability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical training and support.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Preparation of Bill of materials for major equipment and bulk items for hazardous and safe areas.
• Engage with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and choose the best tools and solutions for SCADA systems.
• Co‑ordinate with supplier for quotation and technical discussion.
• Preparation of IO list, Network architecture. SOP preparation.
• Communications, meetings, coordination with multidisciplinary engineering team, professional consultants, vendors, suppliers, contractors.

Technical Competencies for the Job

• Strong knowledge of PLC and SCADA development.
• Expertise in SCADA software platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Siemens, Factory Talk View, Ignition, etc.).
• Proficient in PLC programming, HMI design, and alarm management.
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols (Profinet, Ethernet, EtherCAT, Serial, OPC/UA, Modbus, TCP/IP, etc.) and networking in industrial environments.
• Experience with data acquisition systems, industrial sensors, and control hardware.
• Hands on with design engineering of Process, Food and Pharma Industry.
• Ability to make deliverables from scratch.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage stakeholders, and deliver high-quality results.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactiveness and agility to work in startup industry.
