Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a Deputy Project Director to lead complex rail and metro projects across India. You will work under the Project Director to guide Chief Experts, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and standards.

The role demands deep rail knowledge and leadership across multi-disciplinary teams. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in signaling and telecom systems for High-Speed, Semi High-Speed, or Metro projects, including construction phase leadership.

Qualifications

• Over 25 years of experience in Railways/Metro projects.
• More than 17 years in Signalling & Telecommunication for High-Speed, Semi High-Speed or Metro Rail projects.
• 6+ years of construction phase as in-charge for Signalling & Telecommunication in High-Speed / Metro Rail projects.

Responsibilities

• Deputy Project Director works under the Project Director and shares responsibility for successful project completion.
• Oversee Chief Experts coordinating teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery of high standards.
• Stand in for all Project Director roles in their absence.

SYSTRA India’s comprehensive know-how and expertise in Railways provides a wide spectrum of solutions for any challenge (Building a new rail link, doubling the capacity, gauge conversion, upgrading a network, improving the performance of existing lines, etc.). Our extensive experience encompasses, Bridges, station buildings, Depots, Earthwork & Track Works, Power Supply and Transmission, Signaling & Telecommunications, Rolling Stock, Utilities diversion and yard re-modelling etc. Our services cover the entire life cycle of the project implementation. Currently, we are bidding for High Speed Rail projects across India. The position of Deputy Project Director is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Deputy Project Director works closely under the Project Director and shares the responsibility for the successful completion of the projects.
• This role supports in overseeing all Chief Experts, who coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high standard.
• The Dy. PD is desired to be with strong experience in Rail based Transit System(a).
• This position stands in for all roles and responsibilities of the Project Director during his absence.

Profile/Skills

• Age:
  • Less than 60 Years (preferred)
  • Must be below 70 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Postgraduate / Doctorate in relevant field (preferred)
  • Graduate Engineering degree in relevant field (minimum)
• Experience:
  • Overall more than 25 years of experience in Railways/Metro.
  • More than 17 years of experience in Signalling & Telecommunication system works in *High-Speed / *Semi High-Speed / *Metro Rail Projects.
  • More than 6 years of experience during construction phase as in-charge for Signalling & Telecommunication system works in *High-Speed / *Semi High-Speed / Metro Rail Projects.
  • High Speed: ETCS based projects with operational speed equal or greater than 250 Kmph
  • Semi High Speed: Projects with operational speed equal to or greater than 160 Kmph
  • Metro: Excluding LRT/Tram/Monorail Systems
