Job summary

SYSTRA India seeks a Deputy Project Director to lead major rail and metro projects, reporting to the Project Director and coordinating Chief Experts to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has over 25 years in Railways/Metro, with 17+ years in Signalling & Telecommunication and 6+ years in construction phase leadership for High-Speed/Metro projects. This is a challenging career within a leading international engineering group.

Qualifications

• Age: Less than 60 years preferred; must be below 70 years.
• Postgraduate/Doctorate in relevant field preferred; Graduate Engineering degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deputy Project Director works closely under the Project Director and shares responsibility for successful completion of projects.
• Oversee Chief Experts who coordinate teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to a high standard.
• Strong experience in Rail-based Transit Systems (a).

Currently, we are bidding for High Speed Rail projects across India. The position of

Deputy Project Director is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Deputy Project Director works closely under the Project Director and shares the responsibility for the successful completion of the projects.


• This role supports in overseeing all Chief Experts, who coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high standard.


• The Dy. PD is desired to be with strong experience in Rail based Transit System(a).


• This position stands in for all roles and responsibilities of the Project Director during his absence.

Profile/Skills

Age:

• Less than 60 Years (preferred)


• Must be below 70 years

Educational Qualification:

• Postgraduate / Doctorate in relevant field (preferred)


• Graduate Engineering degree in relevant field (minimum)

Experience:

• Overall more than 25 years of experience in Railways/Metro.


• More than 17 years of experience in Signalling & Telecommunication system works in *High-Speed / *Semi High-Speed / *Metro Rail Projects.


• More than 6 years of experience during construction phase as in-charge for Signalling & Telecommunication system works in *High-Speed / *Semi High-Speed / Metro Rail Projects.


• High Speed: ETCS based projects with operational speed equal or greater than 250 Kmph


• Semi High Speed: Projects with operational speed equal to or greater than 160 Kmph


• Metro: Excluding LRT/Tram/Monorail Systems
