As a Dy. Manager-Mechanical /Manager-Mechanical Engineering, your mission is to develop and manage team of Mechanical engineering with the ambition to maximize technical competency in EngineeredSolutions of the Product Company Talegaon with main KPI's - First time right engineering and On Time engineering release.
You will
- Lead the Team of Mechanical Engineers to design and develop products & ES projects following Atlas Copco processes and best practices to ensure the optimal solution is designed to meet the customer’s expectations.
- Effective implementation of strategies for Design Review - 30%-60%-100% for all projects as per project delivery schedule.
- Effective monitoring of all project deliverables i.e. customer engineering documentation, long lead releases, BOM release, vendor drawing approvals , design reviews, production support, testing support.
- Execution of Project in close co-ordination with cross functional teams, GECIA, Vendors to meet the customer requirements & have smooth execution with On time delivery of engineering to drive/support timely completion of complete project delivery.
- Drive the ZTM (Oil free screw compressor) Modular design./CDM(CD Dryer Modular design)./ZHM Centrifugal compressor) Modular design. modular localization project and support in delivering the modular CKD/PKD (sub-assemblies) and complete m/c from ES Pune.
- Provide direction while inspiring, empowering, and trusting the team to be resourceful in using their expertise to design the optimal solutions by understanding the customer requirements.
- Manage strategic KPI's to track progress, identify gaps, implement action plans and drive results to ensure Projects business stability and a great customer experience.
- Take ownership for the technical quality, functional completeness, and on-time delivery of engineering deliverables.
- Support Proposal team to check feasibility on new requirements from customer as per specifications.
- Drive strong collaboration with Project Teams, Sourcing Team and Manufacturing team and drive continuous improvement based on our core belief that there's always a better way
- Prompt support to CTS teams to address field complaints on top most priority.
- Manage the daily operating engineering activities, providing technical guidance, mentoring, development, etc.
To succeed, you will need
- Minimum 10-12 years in Product or Project engineering and engineered packages design.
- Experience in coaching and project engineering management is a must.
- Having a proven experience on Atlas Copco OFA products (Oil screws, Oil Free screws, Turbomachines, Pistons machines, Air treatment solutions)
Knowledge/Educational Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical engineering or related area.
- Design & Engineering of compression systems.
- Proficient in SAP, Inventor, AutoCAD, Enovia, Power Bi and MS office
- Good knowledge basic financial of the project like PK (Cost estimate), TP (Transfer Price), OR (Order Received), OI (Order Invoiced) and OOH (Order On Hand).
- Good presentation, business communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent command of English language
