Job summary

Atlas Copco Holding GmbH is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Project Leader - Electrical Engineering to design and develop air compressors per master specs. You will lead electrical/electronic components and software in close collaboration with the project team, following NPD processes and releasing drawings and specifications.

This role emphasizes cost reduction and export initiatives with OFA/AGA divisions.

Qualifications

• BE Electrical with 5-9 years of product design and development experience.
• Experience with OFA/AGA products (Oil screws, Oil Free screws, Turbo machines, Pistons).
• Fluent English and good communication; able to interact with suppliers.
• Knowledge of SAP/BPCS and MS Office; CAD drawing software proficiency.

Senior Project Engineer/Project Leader- Electrical Engineering

Senior Project Engineer/Project Leader - Electrical Engineering, You will report to Engineering Manager.
Roles and responsibilities-
Design and develop of Air compressors as specified in Master Specifications. Work closely with project team to develop electrical / electronic components and related software.
Be part of an OFA and AGA engineering team to develop new products based on the design from the division, to follow-up and further localize the products currently in production, against the committed time, cost and quality requirements.
Need to work / create new software’s MK5/MK6 programming suitable for machine in line with Airpower Team for Piston machines.
Be part of an OFA Engineering Team, which has the ambition to be excellent in designing and manufacturing Atlas Copco compressors and Chicago Pneumatic Pistons
Introducing new VSD Drives / Electrical BOM. Experience on Handling Neos and Imperium drives
Focus on cost reductions and lead special cost reduction projects as decided in the OFA PCM. Make VK and PK costs transparent for all OFA and OHP products produced in Talegaon Plant. Concentrate on consolidated cost pictures.
Take the lead to expand the export business out of India and lead these export projects in close cooperation with OFA/AGA Division in Antwerp.
Work closely with project team to develop electrical / electronic components and related software. Releasing all engineering drawings and specifications through system.
Analyze the critical components of the machine and draw the specifications in design phase. Execute the design work in the framework of the Atlas Copco guidelines.
Follow and document the design status as specified in NPD process. Take initiatives and bring in creative ideas to control and reduce the cost of new and existing products.
Active participation in day today production activities and provide solution wherever needed in case of electrical issues

To succeed, you will need

Experience & Education requirements:-

• BE Electrical with minimum 5-9 years of product design and development experience. Masters degree will be an added advantage.
• Should have good knowledge of Atlas Copco products, NPD process.Having a proven experience on OFA/AGA products (Oil screws, Oil Free screws, Turbo machines, Pistons machines)
• Should have very good analytical skills. Should possess a good knowledge of manufacturing & qualification processes for compressor parts.
• Should interact with suppliers and visit them whenever necessary Should be conversant with Office 365. Experience to work within the Airpower organization in Antwerp is a big asset.

Knowledge

• Good communication skills in English language (verbal and written).
• Solid understanding and mature user of MS Office.Able to work independently with mechanical/electrical CAD drawing software (Autocad + Inventor)
• SAP/BPCS Knowledge must. Strong technical knowledge of engineered gas compression systems and installations.
• Able to work within a time frame in line with management requirement. Able to plan and organize effectively with the right sense of urgency.
