Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced E&I engineer for field instrument operation, maintenance, and reliability work in Chennai. You will manage preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance, calibrate field devices, and troubleshoot PLC systems to ensure smooth process operations.

The role requires hands-on expertise with flow, level, temperature, and pressure instruments, as well as analytical instruments such as pH, conductivity, turbidity, DO, MLSS, and BOD.

Qualificações

• Diploma in E&I with 5–12 years or BE/B.Tech in E&I with 5–10 years of experience.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of field instruments (flow, level, temp, pressure).
• Experience with analytical instruments (pH, conductivity, turbidity, DO, MLSS, BOD).
• Hands-on maintenance: preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance.
• Calibration and troubleshooting of field instruments and PLC systems.
• Familiarity with P&IDs and control philosophies.
• Ability to train and build a reliability team; strong customer management.
• Negotiation skills and coordination with clients, HQ, and vendors.
• Implementation of EHS & Quality SOPs and monitoring KPIs.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with Client, HQ and stakeholders to ensure service delivery.
• Prepare and carry out monsoon-related precautionary actions.
• Manage subcontractors, vendor contracts, and purchase orders.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to EHS, Quality documents, and SOPs.

Candidate should have qualification of either diploma in E&I with 05-12years (OR) BE/B.Tech (E&I) with min of 5 years and maximum of 10 years’ experience. Experience in the field of operation and maintenance of various filed instruments. Having a keen experience in O&M of Various flow ,level,temp. and pressure instruments Having good experience in various analytical instruments like ph ,conductivity,FRC,turbidity,DO,MLSS,BOD etc Having hands-on experience in Preventive maintenance, Breakdown maintenance and predictive maintenance Should be familiar with calibration and trouble shooting of field instruments and PLC systems.

Should have hands on experience in configuration of PLC for various process applications

Exposure in manpower management and customer management. Should be familiar in interpreting

P&IDs and control philosophy Should have ability to train and build a strong reliability team Should have good negotiations skills Should have strong orientation towards continual improvement Provide excellent customer service, efficient system operation and effective communication strategies. Coordination with Client, HQ and various stack holders. Capable to manage the customer with good relationship. Preparation & carry out monsoon activity as precautionary action.
