Job summary

Raffles Hotels & Resorts in Jaipur is seeking a proactive Duty Manager to lead front-office operations and guest relations. You will coach staff, manage night audits, and ensure seamless service across all hotel departments.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a luxury hotel, strong knowledge of Opera PMS, and excellent English and Chinese communication skills to interact with international guests. This role is on-site with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Duty Manager in a luxury hotel.
• Proficient in using Opera PMS and related software.
• Excellent English and Chinese communication; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach, counsel and discipline team members to enhance performance.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, room types, rates, packages, and promotions.
• Monitor check-in/check-out, assist during busy periods and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain positive guest relations and anticipate guests' needs at all times.
• Oversee overnight shifts, prepare reports and ensure smooth night operations.

What Will You Do?

• Coaches, counsels and disciplines team members providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
• Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
• All hotel features/facilities/services, hours of operation.
• All room types, numbers, layout, decor, appointments and location.
• All room rates, special packages and promotions.
• Daily house counts and expected arrivals/departures/VIP's.
• Room availability status for any given day.
• Scheduled in‑house group activities, locations and times.
• All hotel and departmental policies and procedures/ LQA and Forbes Standards.
• When on Overnight Shift, proceeds Night Audit, prepares and save/send all necessary reports as requested, checks and searches arrivals' profiles and input in Opera, and prepares Mondrian Hotel News for all departments.
• Monitor check‑in/check‑out process; anticipate critical situations and assist wherever necessary to help alleviate the pressure and to process guests efficiently.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Duty Manager, preferably in a luxury hotel
• Proficiency in using PMS Opera and other relevant software applications.
• Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese as a priority. Additional language skills are an advantage.
