Job summary

Rikaian Technology is seeking an experienced DTP Operator to join our localization team in Pune. You will prepare, format, and finalize multilingual documents for translation, ensuring consistency with client specifications and brand guidelines.

This role requires expertise in desktop publishing software and management of complex multilingual layouts across industries. Responsibilities include pre- and post-processing, handling file conversions, checking formatting, and collaborating with PMs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or related field.
• Strong expertise in desktop publishing software and multilingual layout handling.
• Attention to detail with ability to spot formatting inconsistencies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, format, and finalize multilingual documents for translation, ensuring consistency with client specifications and brand guidelines.
• Work on layout adjustments, font compatibility, and design adaptation across languages (including RTL scripts).
• Pre-process source files and post-process translated files for print, digital, and online publishing.
• Handle file conversions (PDF, Word, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW) while preserving editable formats.
• Check for formatting errors, text expansion/shrinkage, missing characters, and broken layouts after translation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Linguists, and QC to deliver error-free output on deadlines.
• Manage version control and archiving for all projects.
• Quality-check graphics, charts, tables, and images to align with translated content.
• Suggest process improvements and contribute to DTP best practices.

• Handle file conversions (PDF, Word, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, etc.) and ensure editable formats are maintained.
• Check for formatting errors, text expansion/shrinkage issues, missing characters, broken layouts, and incorrect styles after translation.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Linguists, and QC teams to deliver error-free output within project deadlines.
• Manage version control and ensure proper file organization and archiving for all projects.
• Perform quality checks on graphics, charts, tables, and images to ensure they align with the translated content.
• Suggest process improvements and contribute to developing DTP best practices within the team.
