Job summary

NXP Semiconductors N.V. in Bangalore is seeking a DSP Engineer to join the Automotive Ethernet PHY team. You will work with the DSP Architect to implement signal processing algorithms and support PHY architecture realization throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include developing RTL for DSP datapath blocks, collaborating with verification and backend teams, and creating MATLAB/Python models for system‑level analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in digital signal processing and communication systems.
• Hands-on experience with PHY-layer DSP blocks.
• RTL design experience using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Modeling and analysis using MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C/C++.
• Understanding of synthesis, STA, CDC, and linting flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality RTL for DSP datapath blocks such as filters, equalizers, echo cancellers, FFE/DFE, AGC, and timing recovery modules.
• Collaborate with verification and validation teams for debugging, coverage closure, and correlation with models.
• Work with DFT, system architecture, IC integration, and backend teams to define constraints and achieve timing closure.
• Create MATLAB and Python models and assist with system‑level analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize DSP architecture for Automotive Ethernet PHY standards including 100/1000BASE‑T1 and Multi‑Gig.
